Logan Bellew is a photographer and installation-focused artist based between Brooklyn, New York. The practice of conserving artifacts, stories, and histories form the conceptual core of his work and uses investigative ideologies and autobiographical experiences to develop the deep personal narrative that concerns his work to this day. He volunteers with the AIDS Solidarity Movement of Cyprus where he was a representative for AIDS Action Europe and helps facilitate island-wide HIV education, public speaking, testing, and outreach campaigns when he is on the island. Logan is one of the founding members of The Rockefeller University’s Community Advisory Board for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science and has been working to document the experience of volunteering in medical research before and in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Logan earned an MFA in photography from the University of New Mexico and currently produces exhibitions for the International Center of Photography in New York. He has taught at the State University of New York (SUNY) in New Paltz, Arizona State University and as a visiting professor at New Mexico State University. His photographs, videos, and installations are exhibited and published internationally including the International Association of Photography and Theory in Cyprus and the Museum of Modern Art’s artist book collection among others. He is one of the first international recipients of a residency with the Visual Artist’s Association of Cyprus.

Outside of his community, artistic, and academic work Logan has also made contributions to projects, exhibitions, and publications with the Getty Foundation, Tamarind Institute, Phoenix Art Museum, The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Scottsdale Public Art, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Princeton University Art Museum, galleries Alexander Gray Associates - New York, Julie Saul Gallery - New York, and Fortes D'Aloia & Gabriel - São Paulo.
